Major Update

Hello World!

We are less than 2 months away from the wedding.

No worries, invitations are on their way, I promise. My wonderful father is addressing them and we should finalize stamps and the post office shtuff.

I have enlisted the help of my wonderful bridesmaids for specific details like sparklers for the exit, photobooth props and many other wonderful things my beautiful ladies are helping.

Andrea, Nick's sister, has already done a fantastic job on some signs for the reception:

We have our sand ceremony jars. I bought them from Etsy and I was a little disappointed when I first opened them up because they were a lot smaller than I imagined they were going to be, but after talking it over with Nick, we are actually alright with them.  We will have the middle jar in the house after, so we don't want something too clunky or larger.

Here they are:

We also got this HUGE box that was wrapped CRAZY. We are talking tons of tape and bubble wrap. It took me 20 minutes to get to the friggin contents of the box! Well, come to find out the box had my jars for the center pieces!! So the only thing left to get for the center pieces is the flowers. I can't wait to try it out.

I decided to share our cake cutting set:

Cute yes?

This weekend I am having my first official fitting with my dress completely intact. Can't wait to show people (except Nick!).

We are having an update meeting with our person at Fetzer to solidify details. This meeting with be next week.

The trick is now to find room for all of our stuff until the wedding!

The only decision that hasn't really truly been made is my shoes. I am now 90% sure I want flats, and yellow in color. We will see.

Next update should be pretty impressive as well!!

Post-Shower Bliss

So much to update!!

First of all, thank you everyone who attended the shower and helped! It was a huge success and a million thanks to Emily and Mom for putting it together
.

It was so awesome seeing everyone again. What a great group of ladies. I, evidently was in dire need of updating/adding things to my registries which I have since done! I received so much, almost too much, but it was all amazing.

Now on to updates!

So we have selected our cake toppers! Check it out:

How cute are we!? The only concern is it may be too heavy for the actual cake. We will see. Speaking of cake, we did get our cutting set, which was so pretty. I put them away for our weekly poker night so I don't know where they are or I would take a picture.

Tons of stuff is on its way to the house. The finishing touches for our center pieces, certain presents for very special people, and more stuff for the center pieces. The big stuff that's left is really the transportation. We have a pretty set schedule for the day-of, but it is choosing what service will take us everywhere. Suggestions?

Next time I hope to have an example of our center pieces!

Bobble-Heads and Chinese Lanterms

Hello!

Tis been awhile, but Nick and I have some pretty awesome updates.

The bridesmaids dresses have arrived!

We have decided on our party favors, but we are going to keep that a secret for when people arrive at the big day! Let's just say, it will help and keep the party going!

We are getting customized bobble-head for our cake-topper.

Here is a sneak-peek at our first "draft" as it were:

Should be fun!

Many of you may have gotten Emily's invitation for my shower on the 21st of March. Hope to see everyone there! I did not grab a copy of the invitation or else I would show the copy of it. Post it here if you have received it!

We have decided to use M3 Salon and spay for our hair and makeup. They have been my hair place for probably like, 3 years now, and have always been very happy with them. Check them out if you get a chance: http://www.modern3.com/

Decoration Time!!!
Just one of many Chinese lanterns we have received. They have LED lights in them, and are different sizes in green, white and yellow (pictured).

So as I have said, lots doing, and work for both Nick and me has been busy, busy, busy.

More updates to come, we promise!

How Sweet it is to be in Love with You

So I have lots to update about! Yehaw!

So my bridesmaids are going to be getting measured for their fantastic infinity dresses:

WomenLand : Reserved For Kelsey ~ Black Knee Length Infinity Wrapping Multi Wrap Convertible Little Black Short Dress Party Bridesmaid Dress

So far I am very, very satisfied with the service I have been getting with my contact at Etsy regarding the dress. I will keep updates coming about that progress, no worries.

So my bridesmaids can arrange the top in any style they so wish. I wanted my gals to be comfortable, and I have no question that every single one of them will be stunning.

So the results of the cupcake survey....we are going to go with......*drumroll*..... ALL OF THEM! Our fabulous cupcake wizard was confident that all are possible and we even have names for the cupcakes that incorporate characters from Nick's game.

Something Nick and I spent a lot of time on tonight on this Wedding Wednesday was music! Now, some of it is going to be a secret, so I don't want to give too much away, but let me tell you, this is going to be fun!

Highlights:

That's all I'm going to give away at this moment. You will just have to wait and see!

Speaking of which, are there songs you would be heartbroken if we didn't play at the reception? Leave a comment! *disclaimer: just because you request something doesn't mean it will get 100% played. We do have a do-not-play list*

So leave your song request comments and tune in next week for our next Wedding Wednesday blog post.

Save the Date Photo Fun

Happy Holidays

Nick and I had our engagement photo shop over Thanksgiving and we are excited to get those back. We had a blast, and Nick's new truck may or may not have made an appearance :)

Other than that, wedding planning has been ...not "stalled" but there are a lot of other thing happening, especially with the holiday season being here.

I understand that many of you have received your Save the Date magnets, so go ahead and post your pictures of where you have them right now! On your fridge? On your filing cabinet? Car? Your Christmas tree? Take a cute picture or two of where you have the magnet in you home. Bonus points for creativity!

Post the images in the comments section, or send them to me via email or facebook.

Updates of the Not-as-Exciting Variety

So I truly wish I/we had more exciting things to share with the wedding planning specifically.

Since the weather decided it was going to act like a toddler not getting their way and dump about a foot of snow on us for pretty much the past week, we haven't had much to do in the way of wedding planning due to digging ourselves out of this white blanket of a frickin cold blanket.

Oh, and also Nick got a new truck.

If Nick were doing this blog post, this would be the first and ultimate notation. He is so excited you guys.

Here is the truck:

Right in time for the blizzard of the century winter season, month.

It will probably make an appearance in our engagement photo shoot to be honest. Maybe even with a football jersey or two. We will be driving it to Frankenmuth where our family will be celebrating an early Thanksgiving and where Nick and I will be taking our engagement pictures.

Speaking of that, I know it is last minute, but if anyone is in Kalamazoo tonight and wanted to go get mani-pedis with me after work, let me know. I am not sure where, but if Escape Nails has openings, I will probably go there.

*UPDATE* Looks like I'm going to be seeing the lady who will be repairing/making/fitting my wedding dress next Wednesday, provided I get appropriate time off and Nick and I can make it to Frankenmuth in time! Now stuff heading in the right direction!

Handwriting, orchids, and tuxes, OH  MY!!!

Oh, and save-the-dates!

TA DA

Special shout-out to Nancy for the flowers! They are gorgeous.

They should be hitting mailboxes sometime after Thanksgiving. Speaking of which, if anyone is going to be in the Frankenmuth area on November 21-23, let me know. Nick and I will be in town and are looking for assistance with labeling envelopes for the Save-the-Dates and could use any help anyone could offer. If you know either of us, our handwriting is atrocious.

We will update everyone when we will be addressing the actual invitation envelopes. Oh Boy!

So, we are having a hard time narrowing our cupcake flavors down, so now is the time to cast your vote: https://polldaddy.com/poll/8428291/

Disclaimer: Just because you vote for something, does not guarantee we will have it at the wedding.

Nick picked out the tux style. He is sharing it with his groomsmen and fathers etc... on his own Facebook group. Very sharp! Black tuxes and kelly green vest and tie. Nick will be wearing a orchid corsage and the groomsmen will be wearing a rose corsage. :)
