For any that may not know, WE ARE GETTING MARRIED! Chances are pretty good that if you are reading this, you already know that, but best to be thorough.
After much discussion about keeping all family and friends up-to-date about our progress for wedding-related things, Nick came up with this FABULOUS idea of creating a blog about our wedding planning adventures and this is one of many reasons why I am going to marry him!
Every Wednesday, we have our "Wedding Wednesday" discussions, so I don't sit on the couch in the middle of a San Diego Charger's game and try showing him ideas off of Pinterest every two hours. Nothing like trying to figure out if he likes lilies over roses when concentration is pooled at the progress of the offense on a 3rd down. Timing, my friends, is everything.
So that being said, every Wednesday, we will try to come up with a blog post about the discussions about what we are working on, what we will need assistance with, what has been completed, and any input needed. Pictures, videos, cartoons, etc... will probably make appearances, based on our proficiency at most things technical, and sometimes geeky.
So, thus far, we have these things under our belt:
- Our colors are green and yellow with a black accent
- Ceremony and Reception facilities found
- DJ Found
- Photographer found
- Fun story, Barry Rankin was a schoolmate of my dad's in high school, and remained a good friend of the family. He actually photographed my parent's wedding.
- Flower place found
- We are going with Roses, Lilys, Hydrangeas, and orchids!
- Created our wedding website!
- Yes, this will be different from our blog. Unfortunately, theknot.com, which we are using for not only information for our venue, but also to track our guest lists and RSVPs, doesn't have a blog option.
- Desserts will be provided by the very talented Holli from Holli Cakes. Enough said. (SHE IS AMAZING)
- Invitations and Save the Dates have been ordered. We will be having a "stuffing party" in Frankenmuth either the weekend before, or the weekend of Thanksgiving.
